Solutions for K-12 schools and learning centers

Your school or learning center can benefit from three plans that help parents pay for their children's educations: a K-12 private school loan, a tutorial financing loan, and a savings program they can share with your school.

K-12 Family Education Loan

For many parents, the decision to send their child to private school is an easy one to make. Often the more difficult part is finding the means to pay for it.

For schools that wish to provide a financing option for their families, Sallie Mae offers the K-12 Family Education Loan. The K-12 Family Education Loan can be used to cover the entire cost of a child's education at private primary and secondary schools, including tuition, expenses, and boarding.

Our partner schools include Catholic schools, day schools, and boarding schools.

Benefits of the K-12 Family Education Loan include:

  • Interest rates that reward good credit.
  • The convenience of borrowing for both tuition and expenses.
  • No aggregate loan limit.
  • Easy online application and account management.
  • Industry-leading loan servicing.

The K-12 Family Education Loan is a private, credit-based loan and is not federally sponsored or guaranteed.

Tutorial financing loan

Increase your revenue and ensure that your learning center spaces are full by offering parents the Tutorial financing loan. Don’t let costs create an obstacle for a child willing to learn!

Upromise® Schools program

Built out of the successful Upromise program, Upromise Schools is a powerful new fundraising and college-awareness program. Through this free program, parents in your school community can save for college, while at the same time help raise hundreds — even thousands — of dollars for your K-12 school.

How it works

This program allows schools to earn up to $30 for every Upromise member who participates in select Upromise activities for the first time within 60 days of linking to a school. Activities include activating a Upromise account, shopping online, or dining out. Additionally, schools can receive up to $30 for every family member or friend who joins Upromise to help a school and takes part in these activities.

Share rewards

Parents can choose to allocate any percentage — from 0% to 100% — of their Upromise rewards to support your school.
