Your school can meet the Department of Education student loan counseling requirements online. Sallie Mae partners with Mapping Your Future, a national, neutral, collaborative, public-service organization of the financial aid industry, to bring your students the latest technology in online entrance and exit counseling.
The student loan counseling sessions cover the Federal Family Education Loan Program (FFELP) and feature distinct modules for Nursing and Health Professions. This service is free to schools and students.
School options
Your school can introduce the counseling programs through your website or instruct your students to go directly to Mapping Your Future's website. Students' counseling session results are available immediately. Your school also has these counseling program options:
- You choose the standard or enhanced version of counseling.
- You choose which test questions students take.
- You provide an email address of the financial aid office for student questions.
- You provide an email address for confirmation messages after students complete their counseling.
- You choose whether your financial aid office wishes to receive individual or batch email notification.
