Submitting your FAFSA

Renewing your FAFSA

The Renewal FAFSA is for financial aid applicants who submitted the FAFSA last year and are filing again.

Since your financial circumstances can change dramatically from year to year, you must submit a new application for each academic year you need financial aid.

If you qualify to submit a Renewal FAFSA, your school or the U.S. Department of Education will notify you.

Many of the answers you provided on last year's FAFSA are automatically listed on the Renewal FAFSA, reducing the number of questions to complete. The only questions you need to answer are those that have changed since last year.

If you have questions about the Renewal FAFSA, contact your school's financial aid office.

To renew your FAFSA online, you will need your PIN.

Lost your PIN?

If you’ve misplaced your PIN, you can request a duplicate from the U.S. Department of Education’s PIN Registration website.
